Jenkins Elementary School is a proud Title I campus situated in the vibrant community of Spring, Texas. The school bears the name of Mildred Jenkins, a dedicated school nurse who served Spring Independent School District (ISD) with distinction for 26 years until her retirement in 1974. Mrs. Jenkins became the district's full-time nurse in 1959, the same year Spring ISD started its football program, and she also served as the team "doctor," playing a pivotal role in student health and sports.
Since its establishment in 1976, Jenkins Elementary has been more than just a place of learning; it has been a cornerstone of the community.
